INSTRUCTION FOR
AUTHORS
"Journal of Thermoelectricity" publishes original papers and invited reviews on the research and developments in various thermoelectric fields:
- general problems (prospects of thermoelectricity, reviews, historical issues);
- theory (thermoelectric effects, thermoelectric materials, energy converters, devices and instruments);
- material research (thermoelectric material properties, methods of material design and improving material properties);
- technologies (thermoelectric materials, energy converters (modules), thermoelectric products);
- design (methods of thermoelectric products design, computer design methods in thermoelectricity; results of thermoelectric products design);
- metrology and standardization (methods and equipment for determining the properties of thermoelectric materials and energy converters (modules); methods and equipment for testing thermoelectric products; standards in thermoelectricity);
- reliability (theory of reliability of thermoelectric elements and systems, reliability test methods and equipment, reliability test results);
- thermoelectric products (cooling modules, generator modules, thermoelectric coolers, thermoelectric generators, thermoelectric measuring instruments, other thermoelectric products);
- news (personalia, surveys of conferences, seminars, exhibitions; new patents; new books and collections; dissertations; information of International Thermoelectric Academy, presentations of thermoelectric organizations, training specialists in thermoelectricity);
- advertisement
"Journal of Thermoelectricity" is a quarterly published in Ukrainian, Russian and English languages (concurrently).
Materials for publication submitted to the editorial staff should conform to the journal profile and sent by e-mail: jt@inst.cv.ua. The text should be typed in Microsoft Word, version 7.0 and higher. Graphic materials (figures, pictures) are submitted in .bmp or .cdr formats. As an exception, materials for publication may be sent to the editors in printed form and on the 3.5 floppy discs at the address:

Requirements to papers:
- papers that result from research performed in scientific institutions or at the enterprises should be sent to the editors with a letter from the organization where the work was performed;
- papers should be submitted in English in duplicate on A4 paper sheets; the number of lines on a page should not exceed 28;
- the title of the paper should be concrete and at the same time possibly concise;
- dimensions of all the magnitudes used in the paper should be expressed in SI system, and the symbols used should be clarified;
- figures and pictures should be clear and contrast; diagram axes must be parallel to sheet boundaries, thus eliminating the possibility of angle shift when scaling;
- equations should be typed within the text (special attention must be paid to correct writing of superscripts and subscripts); formulae numbers should be given in parentheses to the right;
- references should appear at the end of the manuscript. References within the text should be enclosed in square brackets. References should be numbered in order of first appearance in the text. Examples of various reference types are given below.
- Journal paper: author (last name first, followed by initials), title of the paper, title of the journal, issue, year, page number (first paper page).
- Book: author (last name first, followed by initials), title of the book, volume, city, publishers, year, number of pages.
- Patent: Bengen M.E., German Patent Appl. OZ 123, 438, 1940; German Patent 869,070, 1953, Tech. Oil Mission Reel, 143, 135, 1946.
- If there are several authors, all the names and initials should be indicated. The abbreviation "et al." should not be used;
- papers should be signed by all the authors.
Paper should be supplemented by:
- letter from the organization where the work was performed or from the authors of the work applying for the publication of the paper;
- information on the author (authors): last name and initials in Ukrainian, Russian and English; full name and postal address of the institution where the author works; telephone number; E-mail;
- author's (authors') photo in black and white;
- abstract (not exceeding 200 words);
- author's application to the following effect:
