For a single-element thermoelectric generator working in the regime of fixed rate of heat flow and constant cold junction temperature it has been shown that the efficiency of thermoelectric energy conversion reaching its maximum at a certain value of thermal efficiency. On the basis of obtained rule the efficiency of thermoelectric current source (characterized by a stabilized value of current strength) has been optimized.

Structural peculiarities and thermoelectric properties of passed materials based on CdSb have been investigated. Dependence of thermoelectric parameters on temperature have been measured. The data have been presented that characterise thermoelectric properties of pressed samples manufactured on the basis of compositional alloys of quasi-binar CdSb-NiSb system.
