V.S. Zakordonets, V.A. Stefanskiy. The effect of electron-phonon dragging upon temperature fields of electrons and phonons in geometrically confined semiconductors. Journal of Thermoelectricity. 2005,  No. 1. - p.22-30.
The paper is concerned with the investigation of the impact of electron-phonon drag and Peltier effect upon temperature fields of electrons and phonons in geometrically confined semiconductors. The paper demonstrates that distribution of the electron temperature in the closed thermoelectric circuit is substantially different from the phonon temperature distribution due to joined impact of these effects. It is shown that under electron scattering on the polarizing potential of acoustic phonons the electron temperature drop appreciably exceeds the phonon temperature drop which gives rise to new opportunities to increase thermoemf and total efficiency of thermoelectric energy conversion.

The most typical peculiarities of galvano- and thermomagnetic properties of thin single crystal bismuth wires doped with tin (up to 0.07at%) obtained by us the last years are analyzed with the purpose to reveal the ratio of contributions of charge carrier scattering mechanisms in various temperature intervals (2.1-300 K). Influence of degree of actuality of various groups of charge carriers and doping with tin impurities on the power factor value in the region of positive values of the Seebeck coefficient is studied.

The paper presents the results of research on temperature dependences of absolute thermoelectric coefficient, electric conductivity and thermal conductivity of Fe-Ni-Al (N26U2) alloy system in the martensite-austenite states in the temperature range of 4.2 – 1173K. Based on the experimental data, the Lorentz number has been calculated and its sensitivity to phase-structural transformations in such system has been analyzed.

A.A. Ascheulov, V.G. Okhrem. Radiant flux detector based on anisotropic cylinder-shaped opticothermoelement with lateral thermostating. Journal of Thermoelectricity. 2005,  No. 1. - p.60-65.
Temperature distribution in a circular cylinder of thermoelectrically anisotropic material with a passing energy flux absorbed by Bouguer-Lambert law is studied. The expression for transverse thermoEMF caused by this flux is found. The expressions for detector characteristics are obtained that can be used to control the value of passing energy flux in optical transparency region of thermoelectrically anisotropic material of which the anisotropic opticothermoelement is made. Detector design that can simultaneously serve as a filter or mirror of optical quantum resonator is proposed.

Multi-stage thermoelectric coolers (TEC) as a vibratory system are simulated by one- or multi-loop electric circuit depending on the number of stages and their configuration in conformity with the “force-voltage” electrodynamic analogy [1]. Solution of the Lagrangian equations allows determination of partial and basic vibration frequencies and conditions of TEC vibration protection.

Approximate analytical model of anisotropic coordinate-sensitive radiation detector is developed. Comparison to numerical 3D-simulation is made. With the numerical simulation, a system of second-order nonlinear differential equations is solved taking into account the heats released (absorbed) by eddy thermoelectric currents.
