On July 18, 2007 in Chernivtsi, Ukraine, during the work of Forum on Thermoelectricity there was held a General Meeting of the International  Thermoelectric Academy.

The General Meeting discussed and adopted decisions on the following issues of the agenda.

1. Report on ITA activity for the period from 10.09.2004 to 18.07.2007.

The General meeting listened to and discussed the report by ITA President L.Anatychuk on the activity of ITA and its governing bodies for the period under report. It was noted that the following measures have been held on a good scientific and organizational level:

       International Workshop on 14.07.2005 dedicated to discovery of thermoelectric effects by A.Volta and establishment of a memorial plaque on this event in “Tempio Voltiano”, Como, Italy,

       Jubilee festivities and International Workshop “The Past, Present and Future of Thermoelectricity”, dedicated to 125-th anniversary of A.F Ioffe in the scientist’s homeland Romny, Ukraine.

The General Meeting approved the work of ITA President, Presidium and Bureau.

2. Elections of ITA associate-members

As a result of competitive selection and by secret voting, the General Meeting has elected the following ITA associate-members:

4. Elections of ITA vice-presidents

ITA complied with a request of Kin-ichi Uemura to relieve him of his duties as Vice-President from Japan due to his state of health.

5. Elections of ITA honoured academicians

As a result of competitive selection and by secret voting, the following ITA honoured academicians have been elected:

6. Awarding ITA diplomas

By decision of the General ITA Meeting, ITA Diplomas have been awarded to:

1. Dr. Evgeniy Sabo, Georgia — for successes in studies of high-temperature thermoelectric modules.

2. Dr. Petr Baranskiy, Uraine for successes in studies of thermoelectric nanostructures.

3. John Stockholm, France — for studies and developments of thermoelectric air-conditioners.

4. Dr. Evgeniy Iordanishvili, Russia  — for active participation in the work of the Forum and original ideas.

5. Scientific and Production Enterprise “BIAPOS”, Russia — for successes in space applications of thermoelectricity.

6. Dr. Vladimir Baukin, Russia — for achievements in the field of thermoelectric cooling.

7. Dr. Anatole Casian, Moldova — for successes in the research of organic thermoelectric materials.

7. Awarding with ITA Honorary Golden Prizes

By decision of ITA General Meeting, the Honorary Golden Prizes have been awarded to:
