Every two years International Thermoelectric Academy (ITA) holds International Forums on Thermoelectricity. To mark X jubilee Forum of 2002, ITA has established the “Honorary Golden Prize of International Thermoelectric Academy” as the highest ITA award. The ITA Honorary Prizes are awarded in the following nominations:
Nominees of competition for the Honorary Golden Prize of International Thermoelectric Academy may include both individuals and organizations. The ITA Honorary Golden Prize is bronze art casting covered with gold. It is a sculpture of ancient Greek goddess Athena on a marble pedestal. Athena, who in ancient Greek civilization was considered a goddess of wisdom and patroness of sciences, is a symbol of the highest ITA award. The sculpture style combines classical motives with dynamism and fancy of modern art. The Honorary Golden Prize of International Thermoelectric Academy and Diploma of the award are presented to the winners at the General Meeting of International Thermoelectric Academy in solemn atmosphere with participation of international thermoelectric community and guests of honour.
