XIII INTERNATIONAL FORUM ON THERMOELECTRICITY

The Organizing Committee of XIII International Forum on Thermoelectricity informs of a regular Forum in 2009 dedicated to discovery of thermoelectricity by Volta on February 10, 1794.

1. PRELIMINARY PROGRAM

A preliminary program as of 01.12.2008 is displayed on site http://ite.cv.ukrtel.net/forum/xiii_programma_eng.html. The program will be replenished as new contributed papers become available.

PUBLICATION OF FORUM PROCEEDINGS

Contributed papers and presentations of the XIII International Forum on Thermoelectricity will be reviewed and published in the Journal of Thermoelectricity of the International Thermoelectric Academy.

Requirements to the report format:

• The article shall be submitted in printed form in duplicate on A4 pages and in electron form on a floppy disk or mirror disc (CD and DVD); font - TIMES NEWROMAN, 12 pt;
• The article title should be specific and concise if possible;
• The dimensions of all quantities used in the article should be given in the SI system and the utilized symbols and abbreviations should be explained;
• Figures and photographs (if any) should be clear and contrast; the axes of graphs should be parallel to the page margins thereby excluding possible introduction of the angular displacement in scaling;
• The equations should closely follow the text (special attention should be paid to the correct writing of super- and subscripts); the number of the formula should be given in the parentheses to the right of the formula;
• The list of references should be given at the end of the article. The reference to the specific work in the text should be given in brackets. The sequence of references in the list should correspond to the order of their appearance in the text. Examples of the different types of references format are given below.
  - The periodical article: author (first surname, then initials), article title, periodical name, issue, year, page number (the number of the first page of article).
  - The book (monograph, reference book, etc): author (surname followed by initials), book title, number of volume or publication, city where it was published, publishing house, year, total number of pages.
  - The patent: Bengen M.E., German Patent Appl. OZ 123, 438, 1940; German Patent 869,070, 1953, Tech. Oil Mission Reel, 143,135, 1946.
  - For the reference is of multiple authorship all surnames and initials should be indicated. Do not use the abridgement "et al".
  
• The article should be signed by all authors.

The article should be supplemented by the following addenda:

• covering letter with the request for publication (from the organization where the work was carried out or from the contributing authors);
• information about the author (authors): his (her) surname and initials in Ukrainian, Russian and English; full name and postal address of the establishment where the author works; telephone (fax) number and e-mail address;
• black and white picture of the author (authors);
• abstract (up to 200 words); ;
• application from the authors running as follows.

3. REGISTRATION FEE

The cost of registration fee:

• for the Forum attendees from abroad - 400 US dollars;
• for the Forum attendees from CIS countries - 300 US dollars;
• for the Forum attendees from Ukraine - 200 US dollars.

  Discounts are possible.

  The registration fee covers organization expenses, social program, banquet.

  The registration fee is paid at check-in in Ukrainian currency according to the rate on arrival date or by transfer of the registration fee amount to the account of the International Thermoelectric Academy.

5. FORUM VENUE

Due to congestion of vehicles, we recommend you to use the metro.

If you need to be accompanied on arrival to Kyiv, please inform the Organizing Committee of your route:

- by plane - the date and time of arrival, flight number;

- by train - the date of arrival, train and carriage number.

Travel to "FEOFANIA" hotel from the Big Conference Room by metro - from "Teatralna" station to "Shuliavska" station (four stops - 10 minutes), then one stop by trolley bus № 5, 7. Total time en route is about 15 minutes.
